Ed Ecclestone Award

Ed Ecclestone was a quiet man, working in the background to smooth the wheels and ensure that paddlers could concentrate on paddling. If there was a problem all you had to do is ask and he would sort it out, whether it was getting a replacement trailer, sorting a hotel or getting food for lunch. In his memory, this trophy was created to recognise those supporting our sport from out of the limelight, truly ‘hiding their light under a bushel’. Anyone can be nominated and can nominate someone. The award itself is decided by the previous nominees and the winner announced at the ACM.

If you would like to nominate someone for this year’s award, please send your nomination including a few paragraphs to the Slalom Secretary. The deadline for nominations for next year is 20th November 2025.
